Scantily Glad Theatre - scantilygladtheatre.com
We are Scantily Glad Theatre: a touring feminist and queer theatre company. Founded in 2014, our mandate is to create original, provocative theatre that promotes the work of womxn and queer artists within our community and across North America. Over the past 5 years, we have toured work to Fringe festivals and independent theatres across North America, including SCUM: a manifesto, a raunchy, in-yer-face, unapologetic look at the life of Valerie Solanas, the author of the Society for Cutting Up Men and the woman who shot Andy Warhol, Girl in the Box (Montreal), a feminist true-crime horror about the first woman to be on the FBI’s Most Wanted List and Pack Animals, touring to Orlando, London, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Edmonton. Our most recent creation: "Something in the Water" premiered at the Saskatoon Fringe Festival in August. The show was created with collaboration with the Lookout Arts Quarry and Deanna Fleysher through the support of the Saskatchewan Arts Board.

S.E. Grummett (they/them) is a puppeteer, clown and theatre artist. After graduating from theatre school and being frustrated with the lack of opportunities for womxn and queer artists, Grumms began Scantily Glad Theatre. When not touring the Fringe circuit, Grumms works as a puppeteer and puppet builder with Wide Open Children’s Theatre. One time, they built a giant crab puppet (named Harold Pincer). Grumms also works as a projection and video designer. Recently Grumms helped create and perform in a touring show about sexual violence, called #consent (Sum Theatre).
